The Arc of Shelby County has begun the process of transitioning provision of direct services to individuals with intellectual disabilities currently being served by Chilton Shelby Mental Health Center. Chilton Shelby Mental Health Center currently serves twenty-two individuals in its Day Program and eight individuals in its Residential Program.
In order to meet federal regulations pertaining to conflict-free case management and service provision, The Arc of Shelby County will assume operations and management of the day and residential programs and will oversee direct service provision. Chilton-Shelby Mental Health Center will continue to provide case management services for these programs. The transition of direct service provision will be completed by October 1, 2019.
