The New Visions Day Program opened in October of 2019 and includes skill training, recreation, community volunteering, employment, and training independent living skills. Day Program participants are enabled to create opportunities to fully invest their time and talents with local community members and groups.
Through individualized or group coaching and training by a Life Skills Coach, day program participants have the opportunity to work on personal skills, social skills, communication skills, self-help skills, daily living/independence skills, social and adaptive skills, and recreation/leisure activities. All services are based on individualized service plans, with the overall goal of each participant achieving their goals and to the greatest extent possible, a full community-based life.
NOTE: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our New Visions Day Program is currently closed. We will reopen the program per the guidance of the Alabama Department of Mental Health and the Alabama Department of Public Health.
